Few venues capture the romance and sense of occasion of a Scottish castle wedding quite like Fyvie Castle. Set in the heart of Aberdeenshire, this 800-year-old fortress is a breathtaking vision of towers and turrets, with lavish interiors and extensive grounds. So, whether you’re planning an intimate elopement, or dreaming of a large wedding celebration with up to 100 guests, its sure to be an unforgettable day.

A historic setting with ceremony and reception spaces full of character
One of the venues greatest strengths is its versatility. Fyvie Castle is suited for civil, religious, and humanist weddings, giving couples the flexibility to choose the ceremony that’s right for them.
Regardless of the size of wedding, the Drawing room and interconnecting Music Gallery offer the perfect backdrop to say your vows. With its Flemish tapestries, vaulted ceiling and pipe organ, guests are sure to be wowed the moment they step foot into the room.
Then, after the ceremony, you and your guests can enjoy the drinks reception in the Entrance Hall and Billiard room, while the Drawing Room is prepared for the wedding meal. Alternatively, for more intimate occasions, or even a rehearsal dinner, the Dining Room can be set up to accommodate up to 22 guests.
Guided castle tours can even be run by our dedicated team, giving your guests time to fully explore the venue during the drink’s reception, or while you’re having your photographs taken.

Dance the night away
From the castle, guests can be led (or piped) across the grounds to the magnificent 19th century glass-roofed Racquets Court for the evening reception and dance. The floors are sprung making it perfect for a ceilidh and for dancing the night away.
Alternatively, a Marquee can be erected on the south lawn which can accommodate up to 1000 guests.

Beautiful backdrops for wedding photography
Needless to say, a castle like Fyvie is full of incredible photo opportunities. Couples are invited to make full use of the castle and the grounds to capture those perfect shots. Don’t forget to check out the boathouse on the lake!
Accommodation on the estate
Take the stress out of your wedding morning by making use of the on-site accommodation. Preston Tower Apartment offers self-catering accommodation for up to 16 guests within the castle itself. Furnished to a high standard and retaining many original features and antique pieces, it allows couples and close family and friends to turn the wedding into a longer, more relaxed occasion.
